I can't find my notes on the quilt but gave the directions to a friend who pointed out the X pattern that I seemed to miss. I remeasured everything for you and others who'd like it:
1 block fin. @ 14"
quilt size = 50.5 x 68
* 4P's consist of cut 2.5" sqs. that will fin. @ 3.5"
* HST's cut @ 4.50" will fin. @ 3.5"
Construction:
1 Star block = 12 hst's + a 4P on ea corner
Intersections = (1) 4P + (2) 4" (cut size) sqs. + (1) 4P (both horizontally and vertically)
Add (1) 4P to the center to connect horizontal and vertical intersections when they meet.
Intersections are alternated with Star blocks that automatically form (9) 4P's when they meet. So simple yet elegant with the football shaped intersections!!
I love this quilt too and it's easier to make that how it sounds above! I know you will love it too! Be sure and post your creation for us all to enjoy when you finish!! n2
