    Default Super big block

A friend's high school senior son is being treated for cancer. I offered a quilt to help with the chemo. His father said, "remember he's been a star on the football and basketball teams". We agreed that I would give him a quilt immediately, with a sports themed quilt to follow. The boy will give the original quilt to someone undergoing treatment with him. I have now gotten the fabric and made the first block, based on a wonderful one I saw here, but enlarged to work with the print size. The block is actually 29"square. The quilt will be 6 blocks plus borders. The school colors are black, red and white.

I am glad that you are in the cheering section for this young man and are so willing to use your skills to make him a quilt. It is just the perfect fabric and pattern for a young man. Pray for his recovery.
