I usually tape one selvedge edge to the edge of my cutting table, then dampen the panel slightly and gently tug and tape one perpendicular edge to the table. Using my long cutting rulers and my 12 1/2 inch squares, I gently align and tape the other two edges to the table. Final check is to make sure the diagonal measurements are the same (something my woodworker DH taught me!). Then I wet the whole thing down and leave it to dry. Next day--one squared up panel!

    Yes, I've had that problem with panels. Didn't know about tugging on it to square it up, but I'll be trying that in the future.
