I have a friend retiring from work in June and have some fabric with her name in it (vintage looking, like from the Dick and Jane era) and have wanted to make a bag for her. Will try this one!

I made another one today!! Still didn't follow the directions! I made the lining out of one solid piece of fabric and lined it with interfacing. I added batting and quilting to the "main" bag this time.
maybe one of these days i'll make one and actually follow the directions

Here's a third attempt!
charm squares inside and out - handles from my scrap bin...
no interfacing - it's nice and floppy - will make a nice shopping bag since I can smoosh it up and put it in my purse until I need it.
