I think swoon quilts look best with a narrow sashing in the background color like this - http://quiltstory.blogspot.com/2012/...lt-finish.html The cornerstones also add interest. Your blocks are looking great.

I have a quilt made by this pattern that I purchased at an antique shop in Indiana. It is totally scrappy! And I really mean scrappy! It is on my bed, and I get lost in looking at all of the fabrics! I didn't know this was the name of the pattern. It is totally done by hand, and is very old, but is in good shape.

I agree about the sashing and your blocks are absolutely beautiful. I have the pattern for Carpenters Wheel but I haven't started mine yet.... Yours are outstanding, gorgeous....will be a beautiful quilt.
