Dear friend collects Campbells Soup Kids items. I found a couple of fat quarters several months ago and have turned them into a reversible table runner for her. I have no idea how it got to be this big! I wanted it long since she keeps the leaf in her oval table, but ... hmmmmmm.

    Anyway ... here it is!

It is darling. That fabric is so cute. Better too big than too small.

I KNOW my friend will love this - you've never seen so many little Campbell Kid thingys in your life - but the good thing about this one is - it has no desire to stay with me! :)

The ones I usually make fit on that coffee table - this one hangs off about 4 inches on each side. I still think it will fit on her table.

    looks great to me.
your topic line got my attention. since i have relatives in south texas i wanted to be sure they had not been eaten by the table runner, but i see no signs of them.

Good thing your relatives weren't here when I was putting that thing together. I've made several of these lately and always model them on that coffee table. Seeing what this one looked like on there just ... took me back a bit.

When I move it I'll be sure there are no S. Texans struggling out from under it!

All that out of a couple of fat quarters - I'm impressed. Great job. I have friends who like the longer table runners because they have long tables and others who prefer short ones, it just depends. Great job.

well - the Campbell kids fabric were fat quarters, then I started scrounging in my stashlette. Got the kids off ebay.

that would have had me worried but the kid doesn't look like my grandkids or greatgrands so i think it hasn't come to that yet (or the parents just haven't thought of ebay yet)

Laura C - I LOL at you! Thanks for the chuckles! The one in my avatar would have been VERY expensive - most days, anyway. :)
