The more you quilt and the more random techniques you learn the more happy accidents you will have! I firmly believe that you can make all the perfect plans in the world, but nothing can account for Chaos Theory. Its all about adapting to the little bumps in the road. Quilt looks great, I love the splash of color in the borders.

I love it. It's zen quilting. Just let it become what it wants to be and don't force it to be something it doesn't. I like keeping the whole experience organic and make it so the quilt can tell it's own story.

Great work.....me...I just lay things out on the bed in the spare room and wander in and out with bits of fabric....if it works it stays or I re-fold and back into the stash....time-frame....too long...but that's how I roll

It has a bit of "illusion" to it and I like it! I want to learn to let go of the "rules" set by the quilt police because I have had such a hard time with perfection in my life. Trying to achieve perfection stifles creativity. I have found that you can almost manipulate the fabric any way you want to unless it is just too short! Then "finegle" in another piece!

Yup! I and a proud card carrier of the Happy Accident Designers Club! I am usually very happy with my accidents. Sometimes I am glad I am not a stickler for perfection because so many cool variations happen when I goof. Your addition to the your quilt was meant to be! It looks GREAT and INTENTIONAL!!!

Thanks for your comments, everyone. I love working with scraps and strip piecing. Maybe because I most certainly am not a perfectionist. I like being able to work and just have fun with my projects.
