Thanks for all the neat replies. Jillaine, I LOVE the one you did. Spectacular color combination. WTxRed, yes the instructions I got from a friend call for the blocks to turn every other one. Joyce888, actually they are 6 inch blocks but I have seen them in 9 inch. QuiltNan, I did not know that. Thanks for the info.
I have already started ordering fabric. I do not have a lot of batiks, but I will soon. I imported the ones I plan to have or have already. I like the idea of seeing what it will REALLY look like. Anyone who owns EQ knows what I mean. I love it.

I did my first batik quilt using a design something like yours, but I certainly like yours better. If you are going to use the same color palette as in the drawing, wow!, it is going to be gorgeous.
