    I have my grandmother's and I love how sturdy it is. Heavy but once its put in the right spot, its golden. Just watch out for the back leg; I've stubbed my toe more than once which is when I found out just how sturdy it is! :-)

    My ironing board was purchased with Frontier stamps 56 years ago. It has chrome legs and expanded metal top. The name is Ridgid. It is a great heavy board and the legs are S shape. The chrome foot on the legs are about 18" long and is flat on the floor. I guess I will have to take a pic of it so you can understand what I am talking about. I found another one at a thrift shop about 20 yrs ago and bought it for my sister.
