When I drove past the next week, the barn was being torn down.

The quilt photo is composed of four sheet of fabric that had portions of the photo printed on them.

A first copy of this quilt was auctioned to raise money for a new cancer center in the local Richland Center Hospital. I was told it raised $375.
This is awesome! And what a great cause!

Really wonderful. And wonderful that you got it before it was gone. I have pictures of old barns and sheds from when I lived in GA someday I want to make a wall hanging out of them. I makes me sad that parts of history of a area is torn down to make way for more subdivisions etc.

Your charming area of WI is one we often visit and your wonderful quilt seems to say much about touching the past and paying it forward to provide care in the future.

I love your quilt! The border you added did wonders for tying nature together with your photo. Can I ask if you used any paint or colored pencils to enhance the sky? Also how large is the fininhed quilt. Great Job.
