Tisha got this pattern from the Moda Bake shop. She used Oasis by 3 Sisters line of fabric.

I love this line of fabric..I am also using it for a project.. :)

Tisha's only request was that I put leaves in the small border...so I put a feather in the outer border...I love the two paired together ( if you all hadn't noticed)!
The rest I originally thought of a different design but once i pinned the quilt on and realized the lines I was working with..it seemed vaguely similar to another quilt I had done listed here:

    http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-96942-1.htm

So I took the same concept with the leaves and flower..this is the end result. Great finish!

I quilted everything freehand on an INNOVA (a long arm quilting machine). I used hobbs polydown batting.

    Thanks for looking.

Beautiful quilting as usual, you have a real talent. I noticed that you use Hobbs Poly Down frequently. Can you tell me if you have experience on how it retains it's puff through washings?

Beautiful, as always! Love the fabric (I used it in a different quilt) and the pattern (am making it right now, my first jelly-roll quilt!). Put it all together with your quilting talent and it's a guaranteed winner!

The quilting pattern you did is perfect for the fabric Tisha used. Thank you for sharing!

The quilt is lovely in and of itself but your quilting brings it to a whole different level!!! Both of you did great work.

I am so loving the quilting on this. It doesn't just compliment the beautiful piecing, it sings with it with perfect 2 point harmony!

Amazing how a quilt can be transformed by the quilting sometimes. I looked at that a long time thinking the blocks were "flowers" made from pieces curved at the edges (like a Dresden Plate). It took a while before I realized I was looking at regular square cut strips!!

I would love to see the quilt top - just to see what the block looked like before it was transformed.

Awesome job by both of you.
