Well, are you done yet?? Just kidding, it is really pretty and we can't wait to see your japanese quilting. I've seen pics of it before and it looks so interesting and also looks like it would be fun to do. Let us know and please post progress pics!

I got started quilting it last night. Quilting with Pearle Cotton #5 takes getting used to and quilting in the "traditional" Japanese way without a hoop is interesting but I like the effect of the #5. I'll post pictures as I go along but please realize it is my first time doing this type of quilting...so I'm sure there will be mistakes....LOL!

Quilting update.......I just kind of shadowing the leaves on the center panels. The real sashiko will happen on the blue portions of the corners and the green shashing. I'm kind of regretting the #5 Pearle Cotton because it is kind of bulky but I like the effect so far........it's going to take longer but that's okay........LOL......this one is a learn as I go. Good thing I'm keeping this one...... :lol:
