Wandered around WalMart today and found two pieces of stuff that leaped off the shelf and said "buy me"...
the psychedelic tie die and the lightning - I already had the deep pink and the neon green....
I didn't want to spend hours and hours working on blocks so decided on this (haven't done any sewing yet - just the cutting)...
Soon as I finish the quilt I'm meandering, I'll start on this..
It just looked like fun 8)

In case anybody else wants to do a really quick and easy block...
this is a 8.5" square, then two 4.5" squares, then add the 4.5" strip....
I'm doing the 4.5" squares in strips, sew together, then cut 4.5)
If there's a pattern for that somewhere I don't know where it is - I was just trying to come up with something quick and easy...

I love those fabrics. They're so vibrant. Your finished quilt will have such energy!

Thanks for explaining how to do the pattern. I love to make quilts like that for the charities my guild is involved in. You can knock them out quick and get more to where they're needed faster. :)
