    Hot ribbon applique is a method of fusing 1/8" ribbon from Japan to edges of applique. The ribbon will stay put without sewing and you can do great mitered edges with it. You can also color the ribbon with Copic markers or Sharpies to perfectly match what you are doing. You can also go to http://dutchquilter.com/ to get more information and examples.
