Quote: Beautiful quilt! Even though many like to offset straight linear piecing with curved quilting I would prefer to emphasize you beautiful piecing by mimicing the lovers knot in the quilting. I would do a kind of SID but where the lovers knot is supposed to be going over/under I would quilt it that way just like celtic knots.
Most definately do it this way. Highlight your work.. And may I say what wonderful workings.
I concur - either SID or echo the pattern but with a "weave".
Simply Beautiful!!
I am with these posters - SID and maybe do stippling to hold down the parts you don't want to emphasize (background) to make the knots POP.

I LOVE this quilt! I want to make one of these, but with only one knot for DH and I.

Definitely SID. This quilt is brilliant. SID will just add to its awesomeness.

I would agree...I don't think you should do any all over or circle quilting....simple is best to make your work stand out. SID. Or I would a tight micro-stipple or pebbles in the yellow (with a loftier batting) to make the blue pop out...as that is the favorite color.
