You did a wonderful job. It looks great!

Did you do a random scrappy? Just pulling the next color out of the bag to sew? or did you plan it some? My scrappy quilts never turn out so nice.

Yes it IS a random scrappy in the sense that I didn't colour coordinate, but I put emphasis on contrast only, which enhances the secondary patterns once all the blocks are put together! I just cut lots of 2" squares for the four patches and heaps of 4" squares for the HST's, when I had quite a few made up and was bored of that I then just selected from the pile layout the block making sure there was a 'bright' HST in the corners and that the 'light' stripe was well defined, not difficult at all, oh and tried to make sure I didn't have two of the same fabrics together, that's about it!
