You are not dumb. This is a new way to make a quilt. The process mentioned in this topic is taking 2-2 1/2" strips and sewing them together. Take another 2-2 1/2" strips and sew them together, too. Take both sewn strips, right sides together and stitch the outside seams. This makes a tube. Take your square ruler and place the 45šline on the stitching line and cut to even up the cut and make it ready for the triangles you will be cutting. Watch the tutorial on Cozy Quilts.com and Missouri Star Quilting Co.com to see the placement and cutting of the strip. When you open up the cut triangles, you have a square. You can vary the way you make the block simply by the placement of how you place the end of each square. This is great for scraps, I did one in batik remnants and just love how it looks like you did a lot of work when you didn't.

I do wish I had so many brothers and sisters and such a wonderful relationship. You are very blessed.

Your quilts are beautiful. Bet your brother will come and cook again. He must have been so much help and a joy to have there. Bet he had almost as much fun as his sisters.

Oh what wonderful memories your making! I go to Oregon every July to visit my sister and her daughter for 2 weeks. They both quilt and her daughter has a LA. One year we went to the out door Quilt Show in Sisters Ore. We did a shop hop one time, and theres always a Quilt Show at the Miners Jubilee. Last year I taught my sister how to paperpiece and we made a small wall hanging together. I cherish our time together.
