Sewing bias edges is a good time to learn to let go of control issues. It is one of those times when you GUIDE the fabric rather than WRESTLING it to keep it in line ... a light hand, and you will have not problems with either type of edge. <wave>

the quilt in my avatar is "Strip Twist" mentioned here awhile back.(check the SEARCH) It is all done in strips. I sew-d, THEN cut. Very easy, VERY effective with lots of colors and NO BIAS. I'll try to stop wrestling my bias strips. Some of my squares weren't the same size (how did THAT happen??) so I was REALLY thankful for some of that streeeeeetch.....

You are correct ... stretch can be our friend <g> ...
sometimes, I am just underwhelmed with how inaccurate my best rotary cutting turns out :?
On the other hand, since not being perfect means I get to practice my art more, it can't all be a bad thing, eh? 8-)
