Tube quilt
#42
Congratulations, you have just made your first bargello quilt!
What you did by sewing the strips together and then cutting them in strips is the same way you do a bargello.
With a bargello, you make the wavy and points effect by varying the width of your strips that you cut from your "tube". You can now either design your own bargello or easily follow a pattern. The patterns will give you direction on the width to cut the strips and if you have to add plain background between the stripe sets. Easy peasy.

Congrats, grammy17! Very nice. It looks very much like my tube quilts I make from Trip Around-The-World pattern furnished by Project Linus but if you google the pattern, you probably would find several different directions.

Thanks for sharing the way to make the quilt.I did a little quilt this afternoon.I want to try the free motion feature on my new sewing machine. This is perfect.j
I pinned it so I can hand baste it before quilting. The brown check is the flannel lining. The back is the stripe.I will bind it with the green .
