Turkey finished in time for Thanksgiving this year

This is last year's UFO. I got it pieced last year, but not quilted. Maybe I was put off by the dark feather behind the turkey's head. I decided to try sewing down the binding with the same blanket stitch that I used on the turkey parts. I'm not sure I like that look. What say you all?

Great!! I wouldn't have even noticed the dark feather!! And the stitch looks fine, too. I don't know if I think it is the best, but that's the way I figure out what I do and don't want to use again. It's perfect and enjoy it this season.

I think your turkey looks great. With his big, bright eyes, you don't notice the dark tail feather behind his head unless someone directs your attention to it. I love it and think you did a wonderful job with him.

I think he looks like he's getting ready to con you into not putting him in the oven. Really cute. Blanket stitch looks good around the frame. I think it gives it a finishing touch. Have a good and safe Thanksgiving.

Your turkey is adorable. I love his buggy eyes. Allthough the binding stitching does not look bad, I probably wouldn't use it for myself.

The brown feather adds spice to it. When I saw your turkey, I said "Oh that's good".
