Do a small framing border in the dark blue and then a border in red and I would guess it will be more than beautiful. I like it and think it could be a favorite with just a little pop of color.

Beige alone is nothing to get excited about...as you said yucky BUT you made it work!!

Sometimes it's not really an ugly duckling. It could just be going through the awkward teenager phase. It's just not quite done yet. Be patient. It'll come through this phase! And like a teenager, it'll probably surprise the heck out of you!

Nice quilt, not ugly at all. Agree with using dark fabric in border.

I happen to love the beige. A few bright borders would surely brighten it up. Thanks for the info on the pattern, I am going to hit my scrap bin and put one together myself!

Well I for one like the beige, and I love the pattern. I think it turned out just fine... and you may be surprised the colors may grow on you! I made a pineapple quilt once that was purple and mustard yellow I thought it was ugly, donated it to an auction for a cause. I keep looking at the picture ( I take pictures of all the quilts I make and put them in my Quilt picture album) and wish I had it back it grew on me.... too late now..
