this design has been on my "someday" list for many years. you "beat me to it". :lol:

seriously ... you have done such a wonderful job ... the colors, getting all the patches in the right place ... the precision ...

i could go on and on. it's dazzling and faaaaaabulous and about 100 other wonderful things. :P :thumbup: x 727

Thanks everyone. I am kind of crossing my fingers also. Like most of you, I don't think it's that good (I can see all my goofs). But did have a lot of other quilters come up to me at the show and say they really liked it. So we will see.

It's absolutly beautiful! First time I ever saw that pattern was on the intro to Simply Quilts. It's on my list to do. All that paper pieceing is a little intimidating.

Your quilt is beautiful, I love it! I just noticed your town. My baby brother lives in Ridgecrest too... He's not much of a baby any longer and would die if he knew I said him that.

I just got news that I tied (three-way) for first in the medium quilt category in this viewer's choice show. :D :D

The winners were not announced until after the show was over, in fact 5 days after. And we were only given the name of the quilt and the quilter so I have no idea what the other quilts look like. Hopefully they will have pictures in the newsletter when it comes out this month.

But I am very pleased. Perhaps I will enter it into the annual Fair contest in September or October.
