I’m not sure a pattern can be out of date with the right fabric. I’ve only been quilting for about 15 years and it seems like every time I open a quilt mag at the store, there’s a churn dash quilt pattern inside. They just use different fabrics to make it seem more modern. Your quilt is wonderful.

I admire the way you planned ahead and used your stash and batting on hand to make this twister quilt. I like the way you chose the color value placements of your blocks. I really like the patchwork borders that frame the twister center. Blue is my favorite color. I think boy or girl would be thrilled with this quilt. As for the pattern being dated, I think it will never go out of style.

The Twister pattern is one of my favorites. Yours looks great. Its one of the only patterns that I've repeated over and over. Many different sizes. And couldn't do without my quilt in a wool batting. Some lucky kid will enjoy your quilt.
