It makes me very sad to see that someone discarded a home made quilt and especially ones a beautiful as those. But our younger generation feels most things are disposal able. I would never throw it out.

I have two of my grandmas quilts. I will never get rid of them especially since one was made when my dad, now 90, was 11. It is not in very good shape but it was made by her and I actually have the picture of her standing in front of the quilt. It is one of me prized processions.

How wonderful of you to save it. It would be nice to find out who made it. Was there a label of any kind?

I have the pattern for this quilt. It was in my mother's stash of stuff that we sorted through after she died. I have never seen it made up before. It is lovely. Wonderful to know that someone is willing to take the time and effort to care for old quilts.

Beautiful vintage quilts. I have about 2 dozen now and I change them every single week. Some of my tops are just now getting quilted and I love every one of them. We need to save these quilts from years ago. I guess I am doing my part !!
