I love to do swirls on quilts like this. They are simple and give it lots of movement.

I am by no means qualified to comment, but how about some gentle curves between the music notes and echo the other blocks?

I must say, Karla these are absolutely beautiful! They really sing! (sorry for the pathetic pun)

They sound innocent enough, but I bet I'd botch them. Do you have a picture I could practice on with my finger? Oh--I do have a quilting program... maybe it has a swirl. Quilting on paper gives me the heebie jeebies though.

 Great pun! Gentle curves on the white with black notes fabric? If I don't touch the notes, it'd work. Or did you mean the black fabric on Aiden's?

I should have mentioned the blocks are 4.5--quilt size is about 37". They're for studying, talking about, and dragging around. :-D

Then I could stick to white thread! Is that what you'd use? I studied it and I think I'd stop and move between the blocks rather than try to cut through the colors... agreed?

Those are both darling quilts. I love the musical fabric. Great touch. I would do a meander on it.

Yes, curves on the white with black notes - without touching the notes....leaving the colours out would really work well, then you could just use the one colour thread and Wow....Whatever you decide...these are going to look amazing.
