Eleanor Burns says that if the difference is less than 1/8 inch, it isn't a big deal ... are you ironing between each strip? you must be, or you wouldn't be measuring ... so many variables, you know ... don't be too difficult to please.

OH my gosh! These are both so lovely! The green is so serene!!! And I'm loving the options of the watercolors. Can't wait to see them when they are done!

I found the problem!!! I made two more squares--carefully ironing, trimming and measuring. I'd check for squareness after every two strips and suddenly it was off! It was one strip of light green that was cut at 1 1/8" rather than 1". This explains why only two of the first four were off more--the other two didn't have this fabric in them and were fine. Mystery solved!

Yay!! It's good to know the pattern works. Whew!! :-D

Both are beautiful! But, glad you found the glitch! Way to hang in there.

Congratulations on figuring out the problem! Sometimes that can be so frustrating. They are both so pretty. Your colors are calming.

Beautiful Karla!!! I am looking forward to seeing both quilts when you get them done. Looks like your getting the EQ6 down. I have not had the opportunity to play with mine much. Maybe this week!
