Tuffy...I never use a pattern, just make 'em up as I go along. I made the turn over section separately from the main part then stitched together adding 'binding' to conceal the join...easy peasy!

Great choice of cake too..reminds me of a quilt on here which is all fabric painted shoes...did you see it...it's amazing!!
