    If you use a chair with arms, have a piece of plywood cut to go over the arms, cut a "belly hole" so your work area will surround you as you sit in the chair. Glue some foam underneath if you need it so that the top slants towards you as you sit. I forsee lots of sewing using this setup.

    Hehe, when I started sewing, he jumped up and sat behind me and slowly migrated to my lap. He normally doesn't like to sit on the couch, so I was surprised, but I'm wondering if he was looking for comfort because of all the sounds in the small space (normally I sew outside and it doesn't phase him, but outside the sound isn't so loud). He's definitely a sweetheart!
