Like most of us... we eat our words.
Must warm your heart that your daughter so appreciates your quilting!

Last year I gave each one of my grandchildren a quilt (11 in all). Last night my 15 year old GD came over and in our conversation she shared that she hates to use the quilt I gave her because if it gets ruined she won't have anything of me in the years to come. I told her that when I retire (hopefully soon) I'll make her another one or two and she said she wants a gazillion (sp?) so that she'll have quilts to give to her children and grandchildren from me! Now isn't that awesome! Love that girl!!!!!!!! Can't wait to retire and get started on those gazillion quilts!

Happy story, two very happy quilts! Really enjoyed reading this and seeing what you did. The secret is not imposing your own ideas, but making what the young folks like.

that is wonderful. I'm glad she came around and is asking for quilts. You know she appreciates and will use them.
