Ok, I kept forgetting to find this and post it.
This was part of a basket of fabric I won during a Shop Hop in Hawaii.
    I think it's butt ugly!

I guess it's supposed to be Japanese Koi, little people and stuff. I sure can't figure it out.
    That's what makes it ugly!

I did a quick run through of these fabrics (I am pushed for time right now). Some of these fabrics I have myself. I find though that it depends on what you put the fabrics with. Some that you think is ugly turns out to look nice mixed with something else. I don't recall any fabric that I have that I consider "ugly". I just have fabric that needs that little extra attention to so it will look "pretty".

I have made quilts that someone else picks out the fabrics for and in my mind I don't think they will end up looking good, but when it is finished, it looks so good and all the fabrics work together. So don't give up on that "ugly" piece. Just give it special attention when you go to use it.

Maybe if I add colors that match it wouldn't be so bad! Thanks for the idea!

Honestly, with the right combo, anything can be made better! :) And of course, the right inspiration!
