I like it. I guess it shows that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I would love it as a backing.

I think it would make a beautiful backing!!! In fact I have something similar that I plan for a quilt back.
Many years ago when I was first quilting & took a class the teacher recommended using a busy print for the back because you can hide a lot of mistakes!

I like it too.... I'd make a blouse out of it but I like "busy" blouse fabrics.

Maybe once you get through all the totes, you can sell off what you don't want. We'll keep our eyes open.

It would be great fussy cut for paper pieced houses!

Maybe that's why I don't understand. I live here in Europe and I think the fabric is fine. Window boxes are all over the place. The pattern is a bit impressionistic, but Monet was famous and his paintings are much less realistic.

What I consider ugly are the colors that aren't quite the colors they seem like they are supposed to be--almost orange, almost green, almost tan, etc.--it all feels like the 70's over again only a little sick. Others seem to love those colors and some people's blogs only seem to have those colors in their choices. (I was at one today--this morning, but can't remember where).

But I've reached a tote that looks like older fabric...from the 90's...

And you know that saying "if the fabric is still ugly it means you haven't cut it small enough"?

Well...I beg to differ...you couldn't possibly cut this stuff small enough...though I will try...

And not only that...there are FOUR YARDS of this ugliness!!! LOL
Maybe you can do a OBW since there are so many repeats. Either way, please show us what you do with it if you decide to tackle that project.

That's not ugly at all. I've got ugly. Used it in small blocks among many others and it just blends in. But if you really don't like it, you can use it for the backing. And what's left can be cut and used in a scrappy quilt like I did.
