Unfamiliar Block, Need Your Help

This is how I would paper peice this block. the red line is where you would attach section A to E to start with, until you get D section attached. Then you can sew the rest of A to F and D to A. Finally adding the F triangles to the corners.

I noticed that after I posted and was playing around with the block.
I think it looks very disjointed when put together like that.
But if you want do it the same way as the the photo (blue quilt) you posted upthread, pieces B4/B5 and D4/D5 get combined into one piece to create a smoother flowing connection between the blocks. So ALL four sections would only have 4 pieces.
Another option is to ADD the piece (5) to the A&C sections. It flows a bit better.
Interesting block, with a multitude of options, especially when you start playing around with value placement.

If you draw, trace or copy the pattern, you then can cut the pattern apart and measure each piece, I think.
Looks like 4 sections of the block for basically the same? INteresting and would be a great block made up in BATIKS! Havenot seen this one before.

Yeah I like the added extra peice. But that is just me. If you cut apart the block and just repeat the section you like four times you will be good since they are all the same. Yes the partial seam for A to E is a must to avoid a set in seam. Very nice block.
