Very nice!
I like scraps too.
And I also like making soup.
Could this be rather like quilting in the kitchen? Using up the scraps and leftovers, and turning them into something warm and satisfying?

FF- you may be on to something there. I love scrappy quilts and am known in my circle as a great soup maker. (I just shake the cupboards and add whatever falls out to the supper leftovers. LOL!)
Mrs. Mel- these placemats are really, really nice!! I think you have a good eye for controlled scrappy- at first glance I would have thought they were all bought to go together!
And VERY cool colors on that YBR!! You can send that one my way if you want... :0)
