I'm so glad you didn't give the ungrateful young lady the beautiful quilt, she didn't deserve to receive such a gift. thank you for sharing a happy ending story.

Well first I want to say how beautiful your quilt is...second I would say that the big snot that didn't like it didn't deserve it or anything else...rude is only the beginning to describe it...and to be honest when reading what you wrote I think her mothers so called honesty was a bit rude...she could have just not even told you about the wedding quilt...I am so sorry that you or anyone else would have to go through that...and thank God it found the home it belonged in...blessings

Several years ago, I gave a woman a $35.00 gift certificate as I had been sick and couldn't get out in time, and her comment was "Maybe I'll get another gift certificate from there and then I'll have enough to buy something really nice." Talk about being gratful - I hope never to see her again.

The nerve of you DD's friend. I'm so glad it went to someone who really appreciated your time and effort in making the baby quilt.

Good on you for taking the quilt back... I would also have asked for the wedding quilt too... it is not too late, just do it... the mother doesn't sound much either. Talk about tactless !!!
