Default Vintage Featherweight Table

Many years ago my husband bought me a featherweight. Miss Ruby, named after my mother who passed away in 1999, has graced my sewing room. I have always wanted to find a featherweight table for her. Yesterday I was checking Houston Craigslist and low and behold, there was a table listed for $50.00!

I replied to the ad and anxiously awaited to hear back from the seller. A lady called me and said that the table belonged to her 90 year old mother who purchased it new in 1956. Her mother sold her featherweight several years ago but some reason did not want to sell the table. They recently moved to a new home and the daughter persuaded her mother to sell the table.

Long story short, here is Miss Ruby in her new vintage table.

Now I have a Roberts sewing cabinet with a custom made insert for my featherweight.

You will love your table. I use mine for other machines as it is a perfect height for me. If I'm not sewing large pieces with my Featherweight, I can put a serger on the other side.
