Want to share an old quilt with you...

My friend ask me to quilt this for her, it was her mother's and she had made her three girls one. It is hand embroidered flowers with light green boarders around each block. The green is very fragile so I had it LAQ by someone else and all I did was bind it. I thought the embroidery was so beautiful.

Wow great embroidery work and glad you could save it! It really makes sense to use the best possible fabric we can afford in case a quilt becomes an heirloom. I am sure the only quilt that future generations will have of mine, is a polyester double knit one I made years ago. It is showing no signs of wearing out.

Wow! That is so lovely. I love seeing a previous generation's handwork and your friend is blessed to have you to help finish and pass on such an heirloom.

Your friend's mother did such an amazing job. You can really see the love that has gone into each stitch. And those colors! They are so vibrant!
