Beautiful job! No doubt your friend knows how far along you are in the learning curve, and she will not notice anything that should have been done differently, because there isn't anything that should have been done differently. If there is, only you will know what it is. No one can criticize another's work. Cuz what goes around comes around. Your quilting is your own and everyone has their own touch. Honestly, wait until you see this washed. You will be amazed at how nicely your quilting highlights the rest of the quilt. Quick, pat yourself on the back a few times, smile, and be proud of what you have done.

[QUOTE=girliegirl
I think you are doing just fine... I will gladly send you some quilt tops to practise on! I have some throw sizes... anyone that would offer to do that for me, I would love it... Remember Quilts were not made to be perfect... My Aunt always told me that.......... I love it.[/QUOTE]

Well that's a nifty idea! I am brand new to long arm quilting and will be putting on my first "quilt" tomorrow. It is actually just a sandwich of muslin. I have read that it is better to practice on real tops but I have always sent mine out to be quilted and do not have any. Anyone out there have any tops they want to donate to the cause? I will gladly return them to you quilted, but can't guarantee what they will look like, lol!

I think it needs some SID, into the center of the block and around the block.
What you've done so far looks very good.

You can quilt something for me anytime. Looks GREAT to me.

I am working on 2 red white & blue quilts right now. The hospice program I crochet & quilt for wants to honor veterans in their program for Memorial Day, so I am busy quilting & crocheting away.
