Warm Wishes with leaf focus fabric

I just finished this Warm Wishes quilt that has a leaf focus fabric. It is a charity quilt, and I thought it would be good for the fall....leaves and all.

It will probably be the last Warm Wishes pattern I make for a while, as I have become bored with the pattern, but I think the quilt turned out okay. (It sort of looks like a tablecloth to me though.... )

I seem to really only enjoy working with blue or purple fabric, and any attempt to "broaden my horizons" with different colors just ends up being boring. Pretty sad, huh?

    Thanks for looking.

Nothing boring about the colors in this quilt. I LOVE the colors, but can totally understand the need to move on from the warm wishes pattern. I think the pattern is a bit boring too :-) I would encourage you to keep trying different colors, maybe just including a small amount of blue or purple will keep it interesting for you.

Love it. I know what you mean about the pattern, but I still like it. Love Autumn colors. BrendaK

I like the two outer borders - they add a lot to the quilt.

Love the flow of this and the way the leaves seem to soften the edges. I am partial to leaves.

You did a really nice job with it. Someone will feel cozy in it. I know what you mean about working with certain colors. I love brights. Can only appreciate fall colors in the fall, and I'm not keen on primary colors together. Color is such a psychological thing and I don't think we can really make ourselves like a certain palette . And that's okay. The variety makes the world go 'round

I just got fabric from our guild to make a charity quilt. I have so many of mine unfinished, however I still want to make a charity quilt. So. . . fast and boring (mindless) is what I am looking for and it sounds like Warm Wishes may fit the bill. I haven't made one before, does anyone have a link for a tutorial so I can get the measurements?

Isn't that pretty? Love the colors for fall. Hmmm. I wonder how it would look to change Warm Wishes just a bit and put a strip of that bordering fabric at each end of what is white on yours so that all of the squares are framed. I've done Warm Wishes but never thought to try that.
