Default 'Warrior's Cloak" quilt finished

After making the Five Cats quilt, I was ready for something more simple and to give my brain a bit of a break. A call for a comfort quilt led me to choose my favorite go to pattern, D9P, but to use a different layout than I have before. I saw this layout for the blocks on Pinterest and liked it a lot. The woman this is for is scheduled for a double mastectomy in a couple weeks. Her family and friends call her "Wonder Woman" as she is a real go-getter and does such a great job supporting them in all they do. She is a sports mom to more than one child, and has her own business out of her home. Had to have that Wonder Woman fabric for the back but couldn't get it in fleece so I made a flannel backing and added a thin layer of batting to make it warm enough.
Her daughter is a close friend of my granddaughter and they play volleyball together so this quilt is extra special.

She will love it. Yet another D9P variation.

A thoughtful gift with a meaningful backing. Sending warm wishes for a full recovery from one warrior to another.
