Waylon's The Owl and the Woodpecker

Haven't visited this site for awhile; just seems one gets so busy; need to take more time to just enjoy other people's work too. I just finished a baby quilt for new Great Grandson Waylon; it is forest themed and when I was looking for an owl I ran across a children's story written in 1971; titled "The Owl and the Woodpecker" I Loved the story and so incorporated the main characters into the quilt. It was a fun quilt to make!!! Name: Waylon's quilt finished .JPG

I like the idea of making a story book quilt, and finding the book to go with it.

I did indeed find a book for him also; not the original 1971 one but one that was published later. I will keep looking for the original. And Thank You!

Yes, not the original 1971 edition but a later version; same story. Will keep looking for the original, one never knows.
