those are WONDERFUL! i have weaved fabric, stitched it and made wallets, purses, vests, jackets out of the whole woven piece - never thought of cutting them up for appliques- now i need this work day to end so i can get to my sewing room! :)

Ok! I took the left over scraps this morning... (not one to throw anything away like this) and I managed to cut a set of leaves from the accuquilt die and made a small heart and start of a flower with one left over leave.

    It looks wonderful.

Of course I'm going to eventually top stitch the rest of the weave piece I have and use it somehow in some project, most likely make more appliques with it.

I realized that some of us trade off 1 1/2 inch squares on here and the same principal can be used with those. Put them side by side in rows of blocks and top stitch with a fancy stitch than when the block is complete either cut them into some block such as squares, triangles, retangles and such or do more applique shapes to use in future projects. With me it most likely will be used in creating shapes for applique in some projects.

I believe I will be experimenting with those little guys this week and see how it comes out.
