    Default Wedding Gift Quilt FINISHED!

I started this quilt many months ago, not knowing what I'd be doing with it, got bored, so put all the blocks into a container and set them aside. In the meantime, we received a wedding invitation for a special niece, so...the colors were perfect for them so I got busy! SO glad I had most of the blocks done, and didn't have enough of the background fabric, but got lucky and found a near-full bolt at Joann's, so bought it all and glad I did. I used just about every last drop of it! The quilt measures 100" W X 108" L. I did all the quilting myself on my Janome 6600P. It was a huge chore, lots of fabric to keep moving around, but we'll just call it a labor of love.
At one point I got sort of tangled up in the quilt and was laughing so hard DH came running with the camera and snapped a candid shot of me buried under it. He then posted it on his facebook wall for all to see. As you can see by the photo, my quilting space is VERY limited, but I'm thankful for the king size bed for layouts! I think we downsized a little to far this time, so maybe we'll be house hunting again in the near future! lol

Anyway, it was a fun project, but I'm really happy it's done, AND in plenty of time for the wedding this coming Saturday.

Wish I was getting married so you'd make me a beautiful quilt like this! And glad you had so much fun. That's the best part! Just beautiful!

Beautiful quilt. You did a great job quilting it on a DM. Gives me hope that I can do this one day.
