I would do a narrow black then do one of the colors you have in the center of the quilt.

I think if you go with a tan, it will all just blur together. I always prefer first a narrow (1/2") picture frame border then a wider border. That's just my taste though.

I love all the colors in your quilt. I think a bright colored border would be great for this quilt.

I love the top center red block and I see a pretty quilt top mostly of red so I would do a narrow red inner border to stop the eye, frame the colors and finish it off with piano key of all your colors in the quilt or multicolored HST's around the inner border. It'll look great whatever you decide!! :D :D ;) ;) 8-)

I was also thinking of that pink, but I suppose it depends for who the quilt is. What about a dark brown?

I like the idea of a narrow dark border & would use either the bright pink or teal as the outer border. Both of these colors caught my eye when I looked at this. Great job!

I suggest you use a narrow/dark border for the first border; there is a lot of colors/action in this pattern so you need something to stop the action, which would be a narrow dark border, then add the lighter colored borders, using the darkest of the lighter colored borders as the outside border. Love the scrappy look you created!

As you have the really dark rose colours mostly at the top of the quilt, perhaps you could balance it out by putting a deep rose around your quilt.
