I would use a frame color from the quilt, then white on the outer side of frame. Beautiful quilt.

I would do the color border first to give the eye a rest - before adding the white border. As for binding, I would piece together the strips and make it one colorful binding! Good luck.. Beautiful quilt, by the way.

I agree. I would do the same. Beautiful quilt. Love the colors. :)

Beautiful quilt! I'd do a color border, then the white border. I like the idea of mixing all the colors for the binding. Show us your finished quilt please.

How about a piano border with all your fabrics you used in the quilt would look nice to.

I love the quilt, and see all of us here on the board have many different ideas. As soon as I saw it I imagined the first border closest to the quilt as a narow white band. Second border made up of various lengths of the colored quilt fabrics sewn end to end to make up the border. An additional white band, and finally binding made up of all the beautiful colors used in the main quilt. I've used this on a quilt I gave away as a gift, sorry no picture, but it worked up nicely.

A colored thin border next to the quilt top would give a break and frame the top. A border made of all the scrap colors from the quilt or one perhaps in the blue that's in the quilt would be a nice break before the white border.
