Here's another lot of HSTs (half-square triangles) that I had and what I did with them. This quilt is still in 2 sections waiting to be sewn together. It is about 32x40". I love it and want to make it a bit bigger. Any ideas about what I could do as a border?

I have to give credit to Rita at Red Pepper Quilts for her inspiration and help.

NICE! Love the way you used scrappy neutrals too... I see way too many quilts that claim to be scrappy and they have about 6 yards of the same neutral used!

Beautiful! I will be book marking this one!

Each HST is 2" finished. The squares started as 3" ones and I trimmed to 2.5" after making the HST. The quilt is 16 units x 20 units...I used a little over 300 HSTs. Hope that helps you.

I love it and I think a solid'ish blue border about 6 inches would be perfect.

I love what you're doing with your HST's. I think you should put on a small white border & then a larger dark border.

I'm in love. I have got to make a quilt like this. But I realized I have only colored fabric in my stash. I don't have any whites or off whites. Hmmm..... Need ot shop again. DH will not be happy. :)

If you have any HSTs left you can do a sawtooth border...small solid inner border (red? dark brown?), then the sawtooth. Waddaya think? :-)
