I second the idea of making fans out of wheels then proceed. Love, love your camper !

I am not as creative as some on the board but with 52 wheels can't you just use them as blocks and make a quilt with them. It seems a shame to take the wheels apart when you already have 50 fans. I think that what ever you do will be better than having them just laying around some where or stuck on a shelf. BrendaK

Charming! I love how the fans are highlighted just lying on the white/light photo background. Using any color you choose for the background, applique the fans in rows for the same effect.

I'm in favor of GingerK's suggestion. It would be simpler to do and would really show off the colors in the fans, Plus look great in your wonderful camper!

I would use them as fans and for background a unbleached muslin. I LOVE your camper!!!!!

I'm partial to fan quilts so I would make them up that way. Your camper is darling!

I would leave the wheels as wheels. Use the fans as a border and applique all of them onto an off white fabric. The edges would be really pretty if you could make a curved border.

Oh, now that's an interesting idea! I never would have thought of that.

The fans are 5", and the wheels are 10.5".

Kona has a great green for ‘30’s called “Old Green”. I bought some at Hancocks of Paducah. I would use it for sashings, borders and binding. An off white would be nice for square backgrounds. I would use unbleached muslin if you really want it to look like the era. You could also use Kona “Snow” which is a soft tiny bit off white.
