    It's just a pinwheel. It came out of one of my Gma's books though so it's not rotary cut. It's taking me quite some time to cut out all those triangles. :lol: But I love this pattern.

    I didn't look at the other answers....since those answers always influence me, lol.

    I would go with darker sashing....to make the lighter colors stand out more.

    Made a quilt for DGD - and was unhappy to discover most of my colors (all blues and purples - it's what she wanted) were dark. Another quilter suggested I go with lighter sashing around the blocks - and wow, did it ever make the difference!!!

    So - darker sashing for lighter fabrics is my vote
