Your daughter will like it...and use it...knowing that her mom took the time to shop for material and a pattern, to plan it, and to sit and make it. They are beautiful!! Daughters use things moms make. You are way too hard on yourself. You did excellent work.

I think it's pretty, and she might like it!

I like it. It is different than the usual bags. Could you applique something on it to give it some more color?

I am very impressed by your purse. IMHO, it is very understated (my taste) but could be accented by a pin, beads, or other adornments. Personally, I would keep it subtle, and stay with the color line. Could you share the pattern source? Thanks.

Several people have suggested that I add a little somthing for color and I am going to give it some serious thought. Maybe scour the consignment shops for some type of pin that will stay with the 'fan' shape? I did not use a pattern, the pockets on the front and back are just one half of a dresden plate, quilted and bound. I just winged it from there!

Your post is pretty funny....but, I have a daughter that is super fuzzy about what she likes and what she will use.....if she is honest, couldn't you just ask her? If not, donate it somewhere. Bet a teen in the Foster program would be thrilled with this. It really is a lovely bag......it needs a loving home....

It is truly a lovely, unique purse that could be classified as "Designer". I absolutely LOVE it and I seldom buy purses because I am so fussy about them. 4 years ago I bought a red purse, paid a little more than I normally would, and I am still carrying it daily. It has become my 'signature handbag'. It is starting to look 'almost new' so I am very fortunate that it has lasted this long. I fear I will be facing a delimma soon when it becomes too tacky to carry.

Anyway............long story short (I must be lonely for conversation) the bag is gorgeous and someone else will LOVE it, maybe even your DD.
