I tried to edit my original post and was not able to.. so I hope people will catch this. The pattern is called Past and Present by Kim Brackett. The cut sizes in this pattern are 2.5 x 2.5 and 2.5 x 6.5. That's all that is to it. I also tried to mix up the colors a little more, and gave up and went back to the lay out the pattern gave. I now have 4 blocks put together and I am liking it. I also tried to add that to this thread, but so far not able to. Sorry all.

This is also a very simple block to do. I am a newbie quilter..if I can do this..anyyyyyyyyy other person can. lolol

Nice blocks. They look easy - read that as quick.

It looks just like a Bento Box cut on the diagonal! Our small group met yesterday and we were discussing both D9P and Bento Box and the different ways the basic pattern could be cut and put back together to form a new pattern.

Each of us is trying to do a community quilt incorporating our stashes and those of the club to practice these patterns. Isn't it neat how such a simple pattern can become something else when it is twisted?

Nice job!
