That is a Sphinx. My Singer 15NL, is a reproduction manufactured between 1985 and 1990 has this design.

Here she is setting on a Treadle cabinet I bought for $20.00.

If the machine is as good as it looks it is well worth the $100 let alone $125. Cleaned up it could sell for $200 to $400 dollars. Have seen them dated from late 1800's to 1920's. I am very jealous as I have been looking for that machine for a while now. Buy it! BTW that price was for the machine and did not include the cabinet.

we had to physically restrain her.. it is a good thing we didn't take the truck shopping.. she would have filled it up with squid and sewing machines!

Be sure you ask Billy (Lostn51) for his advice. He's right on with info on old machines.

Well here in Perth, Western Australia, a treadle of almost any condition/description retails for $1000.00 and up. The only way I can see myself getting a good deal is through a trading post or maybe estate sale. In my opinion it is a total bargain....but Billy, Charlee and many others know exactly what you should pay. I think its a beauty and love the Egyptian decals.
